I am now addicted to this book, it got me thinking about the whole thing that was going on in the book on how Mara and Noah found out what is wrong with them and how they managed to settle things out, how they have this weird connection to each other, I was really intrigue to read this, like I have found out this book on this website where I visit sometimes when I have time, I don;t want to give any more personal information about the site but, they have recommended me so many good books based on the author I like, like Marley Gibson and John Green and many of the outstanding author that exist out there, so basically this book have caught my eye, yes maybe because it was the mysterious cover but the 'tittle' it was the one that gives me motive to read this, 'UNBECOMING' its like losing yourself which we all can be connected to this certain word.
I don't really want to give you guys some bookworm talk about this whole facade book but, seriously I finished it within 24 hours and I didn't even tear my eyes apart from it, it was like glued to every paragraph written in every pages, I feel like vomiting when the crime scene was described, it was disgusting but honestly it was fascinating to see that a book gives me so much feels, you know what I mean? the first time I fell in love with a fictional character is 'Noah' from The Notebook and Taylor from 'The Ghost Huntress' then theres new generation Christian Grey right? but this book Noah Shaw have given me much more than the tittle of being 'Noah Shaw', like whenever he was described of how he talk about english and history its like, he's real like somewhere out there, theres a real Noah Shaw but thats impossible, yup i know I don't want to expect anything from it.
The way mara hallucinated things, like about her burn arm and how she has nightmares at nights, I can't put a finger to the whole 'crazy mara' thing because Michelle Hodkin is kinda giving us the reader a few perspective like in the other chapter you'll think 'oh mara's crazy she have lost it' and the other chapter 'no mara's not crazy she's just mara' like WHAT? i know i'm confuse as hell too because all the way to the chapter 30 I know that Mara is not crazy but she's weird in a way where she see things and experience a dramatic fall every time she got this 'flashbacks' in her head. Mara and Noah found out that they have this same weird things that are going on with them but decided not to tell anyone because DUH but seriously I love how they help each other.
I have never love a fictional character the way I love 'Noah' (*cough* Augustus sorry) but seriously Noah Shaw? if I can describe him I will but thats too much, because Noah is kinda hard to describe but as Mara said 'A little bit messy' right, so Noah is that Bad Boy + The boy next door type ha i said it :) there yah go I have said what kind of boy is Noah and he is very charming I may add, the way he'll put a fight just for Mara and the way he cares and plus he's pretty funny If i say so myself.
Anyway, on the last part of the story, Mara saw Jude (her pervert ex-boyfriend) and he's alive, and it clicked to me, what if Jude know's Noah from the first place? and what if Mara doesn't have powers what if someone is behind all this killing thing? hah? What if mara's crazy? I don't really know the whole story from part 1 of the book its all confusing, tragic but fantastic.
I think Michelle Hodkin will have this big twist on part 2 and I heard that part 3 of the book will be released on October, 22, 2013 and I am beyond excited to read the part three even though I still haven't read the part 2 *sigh* I really need the part 2 because I heard that something bad will happen to Noah and no don't look at me I'm emotionally fragile, I mean WHY? what happened? what did mara do? why is she in a mental hospital? Is jude alive? does Daniel know the whole thing? what happened to the murderer? Ugh I'm so messed up whenever I read a certain book that gives me this whole feelings. I need the book two and I promise when I read the book 2 I'll give all the explanation that you guys will understand and this blog is not really explaining things on what happened in a 500 pages of the book but really this book is intriguing and I recommended this to all the teens out there, maybe this is kinda mysterious type and not the whole teenager book, but you won't regret it and I never failed when it comes to recommending a book ;)
I hope you guys enjoy this book review, and remember 'theres no such thing as 'bad book' :)
