First things first, I'M EMOTIONALLY UNSTABLE right now, anyway yes your guess is right I finally finished the book 2 and *le cries* I don't know what to say, I was holding my breathe for quite long now after finishing this book, its like my butt is on fire because on how intense the acting, words and everything in the book, I was going insane like 'what the hell is happening' and I swear to man MICHELLE HODKIN LOVES CLIFFHUNGER ENDINGS why? WHY are you doing this to us, I start reading this last night and its creeps me out, it gives me goosebumps, this book scares me because Jude is stalking Mara and the picture of mara sleeping O M G
well to those who already read the book 1 'the unbecoming of mara dyer', you might not want to read any further now because SPOILERS ALERT sorry but I must do this, I don't have anyone to rant to, with all these crazy feelings building up inside me after reading this god damn book. So well on the first chapter I was like 'this is all talking and talking' then it become a wildfire burning everything inside me, like NOAH SHAW are you for real because I'd tap that ((sorry)) but seriously his character becomes mysterious every single chapter then boom you'd forget about that and focus on Mara, Mara I don't really know what to say as I said before in other chapter you'll think she's not mental then in other chapter she had lost it. Like you can't make up your mind but I swear she's not mental, Jude touches her, Noah saw Jude, Jude is one of those weird teenager like Noah and Mara who have this ability to heal and to cause death.
I was at the edge of my seat reading the scene where Noah and Mara were both keep throwing banter to each other, I'm praying 'kiss, kiss, kiss' then noah have to be himself and pulled away because Mara's afraid of hurting him, we all know Noah can sense everything, Mara's feelings, thought and everything it was amusing.
Everything about this book is well written, Michelle Hodkin is a good damn writer. She keeps us on edge in every chapter of the book, it gives us mystery like we're on the book and that we're helping Mara to solve her untold true stories and how she can get the life she had, or how she can be fixed, but Noah said "because Mara, you're not broken" so... I think the only thing she can do is embrace it like Noah is doing but unfortunately I'm still not sure about this whole 'Noah issues' because it's not the end of the book, theres still book 3 which I can't wait to read like' seriously.
In this book you'll cry, you'll laugh, you'll fall in love, and you'll get to relate to each one of the character, because in this story every character have their own MYSTERIOUS SIDE which will want you to want more of this book. So anyway back to the spoiler alert so I thought Mara is going mental maybe she's doing this all, then theres this big twist (as I mentioned on my previous book review) Dr.Kelly (read the series or die lol joke) was *drum roll* sorry but to respect Ms.Hodkin I won't tell you about the big twist because OBVIOUSLY you wouldn't want to read it :( so what I can tell you is that YOU'LL CRY FOR SURE specially on the scene where Daniel is giving a speech to Mara on how 'she's little mom's princess, but thats ok she's my favourite too' phrase I was in hysteric like I can make an ocean through my tears, and I really want a brotherly-sister relationship like that. *sigh*
Someone asked me if the 'Evolution of Mara Dyer' picks up to the 'Unbecoming of Mara Dyer' well yes It does I mean its TRILOGY it means it should be connected to each one. So anyway I don't want to give you guys some more spoiler because I don't wanna ruin this to you after all this is an amazing book and really worth to read, so I really suggest you guys to read it and have the same feelings I felt after reading this series.
I just imagine Noah and Mara like this |
I just realise how often a series can be so connected to each one sometimes, like In the first series you love or you grown to the character then after the sequel its like falling apart, which I think will happen to Hunger Games (sorry hunger games fans) but this book didn't let me down, the Noah on the first book is the one I fell in love with then on the book 2 I learn to love his character more, His and Mara's relationship is only getting stronger and stronger and I know on the book 3 something will happen even though I told you guys that something happened to *beep* sorry need to do that but anyway I'll list the things I love about this book and how it will intrigue you to read this. ;)
